The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is the main government grant for heat pump installations. It provides £7,500 towards the cost of an air source or ground source heat pump. The grant has been extended to at least 2030 with a total commitment of £2.7 billion.

Eligibility
- Own your property in England or Wales
- Have a valid EPC from the last 10 years
- Currently use fossil fuel or electric heating (no existing heat pump)
- Use an MCS-certified installer (that's us)
- Maximum installation capacity of 45 kWth
- No means testing — available to all homeowners
How It Works
We handle everything. As your MCS-certified installer, we submit the application to Ofgem on your behalf. The £7,500 is deducted directly from your invoice — you never pay the full price. It's that simple.

Eligibility: Homeowners in the West of England region.
0% VAT on Heat Pumps
Save ~£2,000Zero-rate VAT applies to all heat pump installations until at least March 2027. This saves approximately £2,000 on a typical installation.
Eligibility: All residential properties. Applied automatically by the installer.
Can I Combine Grants?
You cannot combine the BUS grant with ECO4 or the Warm Homes Local Grant for the same measure (i.e., the heat pump itself).
However, you can use multiple grants for different measures. For example:
- BUS grant for the heat pump (£7,500)
- Great British Insulation Scheme for loft or cavity wall insulation
- Retrofit West voucher for your initial energy assessment (£250)
